Halloween in the Village

Halloween in the Village is back with a full day of family-friendly fun throughout Carlsbad Village! On Saturday, October 31, families are invited to dress up, explore the Village, collect plenty of treats, and enjoy activities for kids of all ages.

From safe trick-or-treating and colorful pumpkin candy buckets to crafts, games, a costume contest and more, there will be plenty of ways to celebrate Halloween throughout the Village.

Event Highlights

Pumpkin Candy Buckets

Start your Halloween adventure by picking up a colorful pumpkin candy bucket, perfect for collecting treats throughout the Village. The first 250 kiddos can receive a complimentary bucket sponsored by CalRes Homes.

Buckets will be available at CalRes Homes, 2691 State Street, while supplies last.

Safe Trick-Or-Treating In Carlsbad

Once you have your bucket, head out into the Village for safe trick-or-treating, sponsored by Phoenix Sports.

Participating businesses throughout Carlsbad Village will be welcoming costumed kiddos with Halloween treats. Look for participating candy stops, labeled with a Candy Corn Icon, as you make your way around the Village, and keep an eye out for even more local businesses joining in the fun.

Carnival Games & Bounce House

Boys and Girls Club of Carlsbad Village (3115 Roosevelt St.), will be hosting carnival games of all kinds, both indoors and out. Come have some fun in their bounce house and grab some candy corn and popcorn. No entry fee.

The Costume Contest

Visit the Village Faire Shopping Center (located at 300 Carlsbad Village Dr.) for lots of business-to-business trick-or-treating, great photo opportunities, live music and a fantastic costume contest for kids of all ages with great prizes.

Costume Contest Sign-Ups: 11:30 a.m.
Costume Contest: 12:00–1:00 p.m.

This year, there will be four winners, one from each category. Each winner will receive a basket stuffed with goodies and gift cards!

  • Most Creative or Spookiest (Ages 1–4)
  • Most Creative or Spookiest (Ages 5–8)
  • Most Creative or Spookiest (Ages 9–12)
  • Most Creative or Spookiest Family or Group

Come dressed to impress, scare or surprise us. Whether your costume is clever, spooky or completely unexpected, we can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Allergy and Sensory-Friendly Options

Lily Field Realty (2965 Roosevelt St.) will be offering allergy-friendly treats and sensory-friendly activities to help everyone feel included.
