The San Diego Blood Bank will be bringing two buses to the Carlsbad Village Association's Heart of the Village annual blood drive for the first time in its five-year history.
"Thanks to the overwhelming response by the community, every appointment time for our first bus booked up in record time," said Christine Davis, the Executive Director of the Carlsbad Village Association. "This outstanding response could not have come at a better time. With a nationwide, and certainly regional, blood supply shortage, we have an opportunity to make an even greater impact with this second bus. I am overcome with gratitude for the outpouring of support during this critical time."
Appointments are highly encouraged as the availability of walk-in appointments cannot be guaranteed due to the popularity of this event.
