Army and Navy Academy / Events & Patron Affairs Coordinator

PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE: This position is full time and reports directly to the Director of Advancement. The Events & Patron Affairs Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Advancement Team, including fundraising efforts, alumni/patron programs, and campus and fundraising events, to ensure the success of the Academy’s development and special events initiatives. The Coordinator will also organize and manage the campus wide non-fundraising social events as well as act as the Parent Association Liaison. The Coordinator must be able to strategize, anticipate, plan, prioritize and react to changing needs and situations with professionalism, creativity, patience, and integrity.

Essential Duties:
*Assist with parent, alumni and donor activities and events.
*Maintain guest lists, prepare registration materials and other data as assigned.
*Participate in on and off-campus events, including occasional evenings and weekends.
*Plan and organize non-fundraising on and off-campus events.
*Act as the campus liaison with both internal departments (i.e., Facilities, IT, Food Services) as well as outside event vendors.
*Manage and submit all event setup requests.
*Build and maintain event planning timelines and “day of” schedules.
*Schedule and manage agendas for all meetings related to events.
*Act as the Academy Liaison with the Parents Association.
*Create and develop event info and registration pages.
*Work with Marketing and Communications to create all external event emails and invites.
*Create and send all internal staff invites and communications.
*Responsible for all event setup and breakdown/cleanup.
*Assist the Director of Advancement with the planning and execution of the Annual School Auction.
*Assisting in the development and implementation of other division activities

Army and Navy Academy / School Nurse (RN)

Army and Navy Academy has immediate openings for school nurses —various hours and shifts available. 

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Under the direction of facility director or facility physician, administers medicines (including OTC medicines) and treats symptomatic complaints according to the Standard Operating Procedure guidelines.

**Administers treatment therapies to injured or sick cadets according to the SOP guidelines.
**Document cadet chief complaint & symptoms, monitor and follow-up with additional care as needed.
**Administer medications as prescribed by a physician.
**Check medical administration record (MAR) daily for compliance and accuracy.
**Update MAR with current doctors orders in coordination with health care providers and families.
**Provide and maintain a log for the daily check of controlled medications.
**Sign off on and destroy out of date and discontinued medications
**Maintain documentation of destroyed medications in a file for one year
**Facilitate Academy physician sick call by triaging patients and following physician orders.
**Facilitate communication with families regarding cadet conditions.
**Implement and execute a daily system of reporting between shifts and to Director of **Health Center of cadet conditions of concern.
**Coordinate and oversee information between caregivers regarding medical conditions.
**Ensure cadet compliance with ANA facility requirements regarding health matters (i.e. immunizations, physical, consent to treat and insurance).
**Schedules appointments with outside medical services in coordination with transportation, and as directed by facility director.
**Participates in compliance with ANA policies on drug and tobacco testing and treatment modalities.
**Note and maintain a list of medical variances in cadets chart by health history, copy to other departments within compliance of HIPPA regulations.
**Assist and support DHC with reports, background information, policies, and investigation of medical information.
**Discusses good health habits and positive choices with cadets.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Current CA State license.

*Current CRP AHA certification.
*Five years of experience, preferred.
*Emergency or Urgent Care background preferred. ACLS desired.
*Advanced and effective verbal and written communication skills.
*Strong computer and organizational skills and able to work independently.

Must relate and work with persons of all ages and ethnic backgrounds.

Salary Range: $30 per hour, BOE
