State Street Farmers' Market

About State Street Farmers Market

We are open every Wednesday starting at 2:30 pm. The State Street Farmers' Market is a fresh-air grocery store focusing on fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, cheese, eggs, nuts, and honey. And yes, even fresh flowers and plants. There are plenty of artisan food vendors to round out your shopping experience, including bread, granola, yogurt, bone broth, kombucha, fudge, cookies, etc.

State Street Farmers' Market is proud to keep farmers farming and provide Carlsbad with fresh, high-quality food and products not easily found in traditional grocery stores.

And join us the first Wednesday of each month for a very special live cooking demonstration at the top of the hour at 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, and 6pm by Chef Brad Thomas from the Compass Restaurant, complete with samples, recipes, and shopping list.

Hours of Operation

From March 15, 2023 through November 1, 2023, the market will be open from 2:30pm to 7:00pm.

Gift Carlsbad At The Market

If you are interested in using your Gift Carlsbad eGift Card at the market, you can certainly do so, but you need to redeem the amount you want to use for Market Money first. Bring your eGift Card, on your phone, to the Information Table at the intersection of Grand Avenue and State Street, and a Carlsbad Village Association staff member can help you. All vendors can accept Market Money, but they cannot redeem eGift Cards at their booth. Gift Carlsbad eGift Cards can be purchased directly at www.giftcarlsbad.com.

Parking

There is plenty of parking in the Village. There are several public lots within one to two blocks of the market. Public parking lots are located on Roosevelt Street, State Street (south of Carlsbad Village Drive), and behind the Coaster Station. Don't forget that State Street, between Grand Avenue and Carlsbad Village Drive, must be cleared of all cars starting at 1 pm to make room for the Farmers' Market. Thank you for your cooperation! Sometimes you have to hunt a little harder for it.

Visit us on Facebook for timely market information! Connect with us on Instagram for great photos and videos and meet our vendors.

New Vendors

We are currently at full capacity and do not have room for new vendors.

Market Sponsorships Available

Due to space constraints, we are not currently able to bring back commercial sponsor booths; however, if you are a Carlsbad-based (business license in Carlsbad) service-oriented company (insurance, chiropractic, real estate, etc.) and would like to promote your business, services, etc., to local customers when we are able to space, don't hesitate to get in touch with Christine at info [at] carlsbad-village.com for more information.

Inclement Weather Policy

Staff and vendors will make every attempt to open, even amid some rain showers. However, the market will be canceled in inclement weather such as heavy rain, high wind, lightning, or local flooding predictions. In the event of a cancelation, the market's social media accounts and website will be updated by 10 am.
