About State Street Farmers Market
We are open every Wednesday, in a modified fashion, per County Health guidelines. The modified, farm-focused State Street will look a little bit different, but it will still be awesome. Think of it as a fresh-air grocery store with a focus on fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, cheese, eggs, nuts, and honey. And yes, even fresh flowers and plants. There are plenty of artisan food vendors too to round out your shopping experience including bread, granola, yogurt, bone broth, kombucha, fudge, cookies, and more.
State Street Farmers' Market is proud to be keeping farmers farming and providing Carlsbad with fresh, high-quality food and products not easily found in traditional grocery stores.
What's New & What is Different?
Our "new" market is smaller compared to the years past, focusing on certified growers and limited packaged foods to provide a safe way to shop for the highest quality and freshest food possible. In cooperation with the latest County health orders, please observe social distancing while shopping and while in any line in the market or at the entrance. Please wear a mask. Hand sanitizer will be available for your use. To eliminate congregating, live music will be gone for a while, as will our eating area. Again, think of this as an open-air grocery store for now where you can find amazing products in a quick and efficient outdoor venue.
Updated Shopper’s Guidelines
- All attendees must be wearing a face mask per public health order; volunteers are on hand with masks if you do not have one
- One shopper per household is suggested; children must be under the direct supervision of an adult
- 6ft social/physical distancing will be required while shopping
- Respect any caution tape or marks on the ground to guarantee physical distancing while at the market
- Volunteers and staff are monitoring foot traffic flow to provide room for social distancing; please follow their instructions
- Do not touch the produce; farmers will assist you
- Please come prepared with a list, rather than to browse, to make the best use of your time and allow us to move the public through efficiently
To help us make this market as successful as can be, please help us by following the rules. Our goal is to move people through the market safely and efficiently to everyone's benefit.

There is plenty of parking in the Village. Sometimes you have to hunt a little harder for it. There are several public lots within one to two blocks of the market. Public parking lots are located on Roosevelt Street, State Street (south of Carlsbad Village Drive), and behind the Coaster Station. And, don't forget that State Street, between Grand Avenue and Carlsbad Village Drive, must be cleared of all cars starting at 1 pm to make room for the Farmers' Market. Thank you for your cooperation!
Visit us on Facebook for timely market information! Connect with us on Instagram for great photos and videos and meet our vendors.
We are currently at full capacity and do not have room for new vendors.
Market Sponsorships Available
If you are a Carlsbad-based (business license in Carlsbad) service-oriented company (insurance, chiropractic, real estate, etc.) and would like to promote your business, its services, etc., to local customers, market sponsorships are available. Inclement Weather Policy
Staff and vendors will make every attempt to open, even in the midst of some rain showers. However, in the event of inclement weather such as consistent heavy rain, high wind, lightning, or local flooding predictions, the market will be canceled. In the event of a cancellation, the market's social media accounts and website will be updated by 10 am as will the CVA voice mail. That number is 760-453-7076.
