Visit Carlsbad, the City of Carlsbad’s official Destination Marketing Organization, launched “All Paws Lead to Carlsbad," a pet-friendly tourism initiative, on National Love Your Pet Day (Monday, February 20) making travel to the destination with your pet a breeze. More than 20 local businesses, including resorts and hotels, restaurants, shops and attractions, developed special packages and experiences for pets and humans to enjoy together from February to May.

“With incredible outdoor spaces, laid-back Southern California vibes and hotels for all budgets, Carlsbad is an ideal spring getaway destination for travelers and their furry family members,” says Kim Sidoriak, President and CEO of Visit Carlsbad. ”We’re thrilled that our local hotels and businesses are offering creative opportunities for our visitors and their loved ones to enjoy Carlsbad, have fun with each other and enjoy this amazing location.”

The destination marketing organization has teamed up with its award-winning hotels and resorts who will be offering an array of different pet-friendly experiences. Carlsbad restaurants including Pure Project and Carruth Cellars, in the Village, will be hosting activities including “yappy hours," signature cocktails, and giveaways for owners and their pets to enjoy.

Paw-friendly, Pure Project, will be serving up drink specials and giving out doggie treat bags, and will have a fun photo backdrop at Yappy Hour Saturday, March 10 from 3-5pm!

The Carlsbad Village Association has helped coordinate a few downtown experiences that are just paw-fect for owners and their pets to shop in style. For more information on what Village businesses Pure Project, Carruth Cellars, Handled Pottery, Fired Up Ceramics, and Carlsbad Pet & Feed are doing during this campaign, please visit All Paws Lead to Carlsbad.

Carlsbad Pet and Feed is hosting "Splish Splash Spa Days" March 10 and 11 with doggie self wash stations open at a discount with complimentary nail trims, and will have vendors on site, and doggie treat bags while supplies last.
