Business Support at CVA Office with the City’s Small Business Liaison

The Carlsbad Village Association recently partnered with the City’s Small Business Liaison to host in-person office hours in the Village, providing local businesses with direct access to city resources and personalized guidance.
The initial session was a great success, with strong participation and meaningful conversations that helped business owners gain clarity, direction, and valuable connections. We look forward to continuing this momentum and offering the program again beginning March 3.
Office hours will be held on the first Tuesday of each month from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Carlsbad Village Association office, located at 2695 State Street. Each 30-minute appointment is designed to serve as a welcoming first point of contact for business-related questions and support.
During these sessions, businesses may receive assistance with navigating city processes, business license inquiries, permitting requirements, zoning clarification, determining appropriate business classifications and usage, guidance on home-based versus commercial operations, signage regulations, commercial code enforcement matters, and information about incentives, grants, and financial resources. The Small Business Liaison can also provide connections to relevant city departments or external organizations as appropriate.
Participants are encouraged to complete a brief intake survey prior to their appointment to ensure each session is focused and productive. We are grateful for the positive response to this initiative and look forward to continuing to support our Village business community through this valuable partnership.
