Category: What's New

Exciting changes are in store for the Georgina Cole Library, which will be renovated and modernized to meet the changing needs of the community. Cole Library will be closed for construction from Sept. 1, 2015 through early 2016.

There are several ways to access library services during the closure:

Online services and resources are always available at www.carlsbadlibrary.org

The Carlsbad City Library Learning Center (3368 Eureka Place, across from Holiday Park) is offering expanded hours.

Carlsbad City Library (1775 Dove Lane) will remain open while Cole Library is closed.

The Georgina Cole Library, located at 1250 Carlsbad Village Drive, originally opened in November 1967, nearly 50 years ago.  It enjoyed a six-month restoration project fifteen years ago.  It is a full service library named after Georgina Cole, the city's first library director.
