Get Ready to Shine This Holiday Season
The Carlsbad Village Association is thrilled to announce the return of the Holiday Window Decorating Contest, proudly sponsored by Carlsbad Magazine.
It’s time to deck the halls…and the windows! Bring your imagination, creativity, and community spirit to help transform Carlsbad Village into a festive wonderland.
Award Categories
One winner will be selected in each of the following five categories:
- Classic Holiday Charm – Celebrate timeless holiday traditions and warm, nostalgic décor.
- Children’s Delight – Designs that bring out the wonder and joy of the season for kids of all ages.
- Most Creative Display – Unique, bold, and unexpected designs that capture the magic of the holidays.
- Best of Carlsbad Spirit – A true reflection of Carlsbad’s coastal character and community pride.
- People’s Choice Award – Voted on by the public, this crowd favorite shines bright with community support.
Why Enter?
- All participants will be featured on CVA’s website (600K annual visits), social media (60K+ followers), and newsletter (7,200 subscribers).
- Category winners will receive a full-page feature in the January/February issue of Carlsbad Magazine.
- The People’s Choice winner will also receive a free 1/4-page ad in Carlsbad Magazine and restaurant gift cards for up to 10 team members.
Important Dates
- Sign-Up Deadline: Wednesday, November 26, 2025
- Decorations Completed By: Wednesday, December 3, 2025
- (Participants are encouraged to complete displays by November 29 for Small Business Saturday exposure.)
- Voting Begins: Thursday, December 4, 2025, announced in CVA’s newsletter and on social media.
- Winners Announced: Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in CVA’s newsletter.
