27 Years of Creativity at the Coast

The Carlsbad Village Association proudly presented the 27th Annual Art in the Village, a vibrant, free, one-day celebration of fine art, creativity, and community in the heart of Carlsbad Village.

About the Event

The streets of Carlsbad Village became an open-air gallery with 150 local and regional artistsshowing paintings, photos, sculptures, glasswork, and more.

Visitors met the artists, watched live sculpting, glassblowing, and printmaking demonstrations. The event brought back the popular Chalk Zone, where five artists created chalk art all day.

The City of Carlsbad’s Cultural Arts team returned with Pop-Up Art, a fun activity for all ages to make mini murals and add to a community mural inspired by city artwork.

There were also three musical acts on the State Street Main Stage starting at 11:00 AM, plus live music throughout the Village.

Main Stage Lineup

• 11:00 AM — Morgan Leigh Band
  High-energy country-pop from American Idol alum Morgan Leigh.
• 1:30 PM — The Ramblin’ Sweethearts
  A toe-tapping mix of retro rockabilly, soul, and blues.
• 4:00 PM — David Spitzfaden Trio
  Blues, funk, R&B, and jazz fusion to close out the evening in style.

Location

Carlsbad Village is located just steps from the beach, on Grand Avenue and State Street, featuring charming streets filled with shops, cafes, and restaurants, making it the perfect setting for a day of art and culture.
