Named one of The New York Times’ Best Shows of 2017, this joyful musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s beloved comedy AS YOU LIKE IT transforms the Forest of Arden into a vibrant folk-pop celebration of love, self-discovery and belonging. After being banished from court, Rosalind escapes into the wilderness disguised as a young man, where she encounters Orlando, who captured her heart before her exile but no longer recognizes her. What follows is a playful tangle of mistaken identities, unexpected romances and newfound friendships, set to an infectious original score by Tony Award winner Shaina Taub.

AS YOU LIKE IT holds a special place in the heart of New Village Arts. Twenty-five years after first venturing into Arden, NVA returns for its third production of this beloved story, and the final production directed by Founder and Executive Artistic Director Kristianne Kurner before her retirement.
