Over twenty years ago, Witch Creek Winery opened its doors in Carlsbad, CA. Fast forward to 2016 and the winery expanded its palette and opened Sleeping Tiger Coffees in July. The two work alongside one another hosting a variety of events both sharing a passion for hospitality, service, and the passion for crafting our own wines and coffees. In a world flooded with instant gratification, we have become detached from even the most basic of daily rituals. Sleeping Tiger Coffees is here to fill the gap that exists between the consumer and the cup. What is coffee? Where does it come from? What causes different flavor profiles? All these questions and more can be answered by any one of our professionally trained baristas. Let our passion for great coffee guide you back to the roots of the world’s most widely consumed and commonly under appreciated beverage. Stepping inside our humble coffee shop you will find we are no strangers to quality or freshness. Our coffees are roasted in house. Our syrups, also crafted in house, are free from chemicals and artificial ingredients. Our teas are sourced locally from Oceanside’s Loose Leaf Tea Bar and our delicious pastries are baked fresh every morning at C’est La Vie just two blocks away. Located within walking distance of the beach, we invite you to drop in before or after your visit to the Pacific Ocean to fuel up for the day's festivities. Sleeping Tiger Coffees is right in the heart of Carlsbad village with many shops to explore while visiting. Carlsbad Village is a host to a number of events including faires, a weekly farmers market, marathons, gallery shows, movie nights, and more. We hope you will drop by our cafe for a pick-me-up while out on the town. There's a lot to be learned from the coffee bean. Inside each and every one exists an amazing realm of flavor and energy.
