23rd Annual Art in the Village Sunday, June 27th

Blog Post - June 22, 2021

Category: What's New

When last year's Art in the Village was canceled, due to the pandemic, both the Carlsbad Village Association and the over 100 artists who were planning on that event, as it has for over two decades, were extremely defeated. While safety was of utmost concern, canceling an event of this stature after 22 years was very sad. That is why we are beyond thrilled to be back hosting over 100 amazing local and regional artists in mediums of every kind on the streets of downtown Carlsbad on Sunday, June 27th from 9am to 5pm. We have an amazing event planned for you with some brand new artists you've never seen at this event before. And, music will play all day long on three blocks. Live sculpting is back and we're hosting a Kids Color Zone booth where they can make their own personalized postcard with the help of a local greeting card artist.

Thanks to the generosity of Farm Fresh To You, this year's open-air art event will be that much sweeter. Hosting free community events takes more than a Village, and without sponsors and supporters, it would not be possible. We'd like to thank Farm Fresh To You for their continued support of Art in the Village and look forward to having them back again with us this year!

Outdoor Art Show Featuring 100 Fine Artists

Held every Summer since 1998, the Carlsbad Village Association has hosted Art in the Village, a free, one-day, open-air art show, that features fine artists from all over the region. All artwork is juried and you can meet the artists in their booths the day of the event. Oil, watercolor, mixed media, digital, photography, glasswork, woodworking, jewelry, pottery, and more will be on display and for purchase. Preview the artists who will be attending in the gallery here.

Location

Grand and State Streets, in the heart of Carlsbad Village.

Make A Day Of It!

Come experience the Village and enjoy the many fine coffee houses, wine bars, restaurants, and boutiques, in our very 'walkable' downtown. With ample public parking, you can park the car and spend the day on foot. Or, consider the Coaster! The train depot is just steps away from the Art in the Village location.
