The sun was shining, the streets were filled with music, and downtown Carlsbad Village came alive with creativity for the 28th Annual Art in the Village.

On Sunday, June 28, thousands of residents and visitors spent the day exploring more than 160 artist booths, discovering new favorite pieces, and experiencing the unique energy that makes this event one of Carlsbad Village’s most cherished traditions.

From paintings and photography to sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, and glasswork, the Village was transformed into an open-air gallery filled with incredible talent. One of the most memorable parts of the day was watching so many artists connect with the community. Throughout the event, artists shared their stories, discussed their creative process, and inspired visitors of all ages, creating meaningful moments and conversations around every corner.

Guests also had the opportunity to watch creativity unfold in real time through live demonstrations and special activations. Thank you to our live demonstration artists, to chalk artists Cecelia Linayao and Meg Beverly Canilang for bringing even more color and creativity to the streets, and to Taylor Gallegos, whose live mural became a favorite stop for many throughout the day.

A special thank you also goes to the City of Carlsbad Cultural Arts Office for hosting their Pop-Up Art Booth and inviting visitors of all ages to get creative, and to Carlsbad Village Music for filling the Village with music and interactive experiences throughout the day. Along with our Main Stage performers and musicians throughout downtown, they helped create the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that made this year’s event so memorable.

Most importantly, thank you to our incredible artists. Your talent, passion, and willingness to share your work are what make Art in the Village so special year after year. Seeing visitors discover new artists, ask questions, and leave inspired is a wonderful reminder of the power of art to bring people together and create community.

Events like Art in the Village would not be possible without the support of our generous sponsors. A special thank you to Rincon Homes, our Entertainment Sponsor, whose support helped bring live performances and music to the event, as well as Aptera, American Vision Windows, City of Carlsbad Cultural Arts, CUTCO, Farm Fresh To You, Lifetime Home Remodeling, Renewal by Andersen, Shugarman’s Bath, and System Pavers for helping make this beloved community tradition possible.

Thank you as well to our volunteers, community partners, local businesses, and everyone who joined us for another unforgettable day in Carlsbad Village. We are grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s Art in the Village such a success, and we look forward to celebrating art, creativity, and community with you again next year.
