Carlsbad Village Books Invites the Community to Help Build Something Special

A new independent bookstore is coming to the Village, and they’re inviting you to help shape the space from the very beginning.

Carlsbad Village Books, opening later this spring on Grand Avenue, is asking the community to help bring their space to life.

On Sunday, April 19 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, you can drop off gently used books (please no picture books) at 640 Grand Avenue, Suite A. These books will be used to create a one-of-a-kind community art installation inside the store.

It’s a simple way to give your books a second act while becoming part of a space that’s being built for the community, by the community.

Set to become North County’s largest independent bookstore, Carlsbad Village Books is family-owned and community-backed, created with support from local neighbors who believe in keeping independent bookstores alive.

Construction is moving right along, and they’re still on track for a late spring opening.

As a small thank you, they may have something for those who donate, while supplies last.

We’re excited to see this new addition come to life and can’t wait to properly introduce Carlsbad Village Books once they officially open their doors.
