Kickoff to the Holidays: A Night of Music, Magic, and Community in Carlsbad Village

The holidays are just around the corner, and Carlsbad Village is getting ready to shine. On Friday, December 5 from 4:00 PM-7:30 PM, the Fountain at State & Grand (2898 State St.) will transform into an open-air stage for an evening filled with music, warmth, and community spirit. Musical Kickoff to the Holidays is a free event and is the perfect way to welcome the season and enjoy a night out in the Village.

Carlsbad’s talented middle and high school musicians will fill the night with classic carols, jazz favorites, and holiday harmonies. From solo performances to full ensembles, each group brings its own sparkle, creating a musical experience that feels both heartwarming and uniquely Carlsbad.

To keep things cozy, complimentary hot cocoa and sweet treats will be available, ideal for sipping as you enjoy the performances. CVA members Barons Market and Better Buzz Coffee will help fuel the festive spirit with seasonal offerings.

Make a night of it by arriving early or staying after the show to explore the Village’s restaurants and shops. With so many welcoming spots to grab dinner, dessert, or a warm drink, it’s an easy opportunity to support local businesses and enjoy the holiday atmosphere from street to street.

While the Village awaits a dedicated public gathering space, the Fountain Parking Lot will once again become a pop-up holiday venue, charming, lively, and full of the community energy that makes Carlsbad so special.
