This Saturday, March 14, at 11 am, the community is invited to the Taylor Gallegos Mural Tour, a free, family friendly walk through the Village led by the artist himself. No RSVP is required. Just show up, grab a coffee, and get ready to explore the colorful artwork that has become part of the neighborhood’s identity.

Beginning at Wildland (2598 State Street), the group will head out on foot through Carlsbad Village as Gallegos guides participants to 14 of his individual murals located throughout the area. Along the way, he will share the stories behind each piece, the inspiration that shaped the designs, and what it was like bringing these walls to life.

The tour offers a unique opportunity to see the Village through the lens of the artist who created many of its most recognizable murals. From bold statement pieces to playful details tucked into unexpected corners, each stop reveals how public art can transform everyday spaces into something memorable.

While Taylor Gallegos is one of the newest members of the Carlsbad Village Association, his work has been part of the local landscape for years. The Carlsbad based artist has created murals for major brands including Toyota, Hilton, Anheuser-Busch, Sony PlayStation, and Twitter. Closer to home, his work can be found at local favorites like Phes Gallery, Yoga on State, Common Goods, CBar, Mantra Sukha, and Witch Creek, helping add color and creativity to the heart of the Village.

Designed to be relaxed and welcoming, the mural tour is kid and family friendly, making it a fun way for locals and visitors alike to experience the Village together. Whether you are an art lover, a longtime resident, or simply curious about the stories behind the murals you pass every day, the walk offers a fresh way to connect with the community.
