Carlsbad Village’s Signature Summer Art Event Returns for Its 27th Year

Downtown Carlsbad will come alive with creativity on Sunday, June 22, 2025, as the Carlsbad Village Association presents the 27th annual Art in the Village, taking place from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

This beloved community tradition transforms Carlsbad Village into a dynamic, open-air gallery, featuring 150 local and regional fine artists. Guests can explore a rich variety of mediums -from painting and photography to glass, sculpture, and mixed media - all juried for quality and originality. Alongside the art, visitors can meet the artists and experience their passion firsthand.

This year’s event introduces the all-new Chalk Zone, a colorful and interactive space where street art takes center stage. Local chalk artists, Ron Juncal and Phyllis Swanson, and others will delight the crowd with bigger than life artwork. Live sculpting demonstrations by Lieu De Sculpture will also provide a behind-the-scenes look at the artistic process, while the City of Carlsbad’s Family Open Studio Station will offer hands-on activities for aspiring artists of all ages.

To elevate the experience, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Rincon Homes, this year's Entertainment Sponsor, musicians will perform at various locations throughout the Village, adding energy and ambiance to every corner of the event. Local favorites The Ramblin Sweethearts and The David Fitzspaden Trio from San Diego, and others, will take the main stage for all to enjoy.
