Art in the Village returns to downtown Carlsbad on Sunday, June 28, from 10 AM to 6 PM, bringing together over 160 local and regional artists for a full day of art, creativity, and community in the heart of the Village.

As visitors stroll through four blocks of artist exhibits, they’ll have the opportunity to meet the creators behind the work and shop a diverse collection of paintings, photography, sculpture, glass art, ceramics, jewelry, mixed media, and more. Alongside the exhibits, a variety of live demonstrations and interactive experiences will offer an inside look at the creative process.

Throughout the day, guests can watch sculpting demonstrations by Lieu de Sculpture and painting demonstrations from participating artists. Chalk artists  Ceclia Linayao and Meg Beverly Canilang will transform the streets with colorful large-scale chalk art installations, giving visitors a chance to see temporary works of art take shape in real time.

Carlsbad-based Aptera Motors will also be on site showcasing its all-solar-powered vehicle, highlighting the connection between innovation, design, and creativity.

The City of Carlsbad’s Cultural Arts team will also host a hands-on Pop-Up Art booth—an engaging, family-friendly activity space for all ages. Come create with your family and take home some memories.

Visitors can enjoy even more entertainment throughout the day with live music, performances by cast members from Hairspray at New Village Arts, and interactive musical experiences hosted by Carlsbad Village Music. Local muralist Taylor Gallegos will be at the event creating a live mural, offering a unique opportunity to watch a large-scale artwork come to life throughout the event.

Whether you’re searching for the perfect piece to take home, looking to connect with local artists, or simply planning a day in the Village, Art in the Village offers plenty to discover around every corner.
