Biggest Cleanup Yet Pushes Grand Total to 3,475 Pounds

Category: What's New

This past weekend, the Carlsbad Village Community Clean-Up hit an exciting new milestone with volunteers collecting a record-breaking 485.02 pounds of trash. That’s our largest single-event total yet and officially brings our grand total to 3,475.02 pounds since these cleanups began.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, and to our incredible partners Pure Project Carlsbad and Handel’s Ice Cream, who help make these events possible. Volunteers were treated to a scoop of Handel’s Ice Cream, $1 off pints at Pure Project, and also coffee vouchers from Baba Coffee as a thank-you for their hard work. Republic Services provided a special trash pickup after the event and continues to support our trash weight contest, where the top collector of the year will win free trash pick-up or another special prize of equal value.

Next goal: 5,000 pounds! Let’s keep the momentum going at our next Carlsbad Village Community Clean-Up on Saturday, May 10. Mark your calendar and join us in keeping Carlsbad Village clean and beautiful!
