This Sunday, May 4th, downtown Carlsbad will come alive as the Carlsbad Village Street Faire returns for a full day of shopping, food, entertainment, and community fun. From 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, visitors from across the region will gather to enjoy one of the largest one-day street festivals in the country.
With more than 800 vendors, the faire offers handcrafted goods, antiques, home décor, boutique clothing, and unique gifts from local artisans and small businesses. The event provides a great opportunity to support local creators and discover one-of-a-kind treasures.
Families will find plenty of fun with children’s rides and games, while adults can relax in the beer garden and enjoy live music from local performers throughout the day.

To ensure a safe and accessible environment, several downtown roads will be closed from approximately 4:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, including:
- Grand Avenue from Carlsbad Boulevard to Jefferson Street
- Washington Street from Carlsbad Village Drive to Christiansen Way
- State Street from Carlsbad Village Drive to Beech Street
- Roosevelt Street from Carlsbad Village Drive to Beech Street
- Madison Street from Carlsbad Village Drive to south of Arbuckle Place
- Christiansen Way between State Street and the Coaster Station entrance
Event parking is limited, so attendees are strongly encouraged to use the free shuttle service running every 20–30 minutes between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Shuttles will depart from The Shoppes at Carlsbad (2525 El Camino Real) and the Poinsettia Coaster Station (6511 Avenida Encinas). Cyclists can also take advantage of a free bike valet located at 2965 Roosevelt Street, provided by the San Diego County Bike Coalition.
Admission to the Carlsbad Village Street Faire is free and open to all. Whether you’re browsing for unique finds, tasting foods from around the world, or enjoying the live entertainment, this community favorite offers something for everyone.
