Chalk Art in the Village Colors Downtown Carlsbad This Weekend

Carlsbad Village is transforming into a vibrant pop-up art gallery this weekend with Chalk Art in the Village, happening Saturday, August 30, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the courtyard of the Village Faire Shopping Center.

Hosted by the Carlsbad Village Association (CVA), this free and family-friendly event invites you to watch as five celebrated local and regional artists, Katie Bush, Cecelia Linayao, Meg Beverly Canilang, Phyllis Swanson, and Ron Juncal, each transform a 4-by-4-foot prepared board into a vivid representation of “Final Days of Summer.” It’s a rare opportunity to experience the creative process unfolding in real time as the courtyard comes alive with color and energy.

After the event, all five completed chalk murals will remain on public display in the Village Faire courtyard through September 14, giving both locals and visitors plenty of time to soak in the artistry, shop, dine, play, and capture that perfect selfie.
