Cheers to 50 Years! Dini’s by the Sea Celebrates a Milestone Anniversary

Some places are more than just restaurants. They become part of a community’s story, bringing generations of friends, families, and neighbors together. For 40 years, Dini’s by the Sea has been one of those special places in Carlsbad Village, and this weekend, they’re celebrating an incredible milestone!

This Saturday, November 7, Dini’s by the Sea invites the community to celebrate 50 years in business and 40 years in Carlsbad with an evening of memories, laughter, and good company.

The Dini family’s hospitality legacy dates back generations, with roots tracing to the historic McDini’s, established in 1890. In 1976, the Dini brothers carried that tradition forward, and in 1987, Dini’s by the Sea brought its signature charm, welcoming atmosphere, and famous Iguana Cocktails to Carlsbad.

Over the decades, Dini’s has become a beloved local gathering spot, where longtime friendships have flourished, special occasions have been celebrated, and countless memories have been made. From familiar faces behind the bar to generations of loyal patrons, it’s the people who have made Dini’s such an enduring part of the community.

As a proud Carlsbad Village Association member and longtime Village establishment, Dini’s represents so much of what makes our downtown special. While Carlsbad Village continues to grow and welcome new businesses, it’s the longstanding favorites like Dini’s that help give our community its character, history, and heart.
