For nearly three decades, the Carlsbad Village Association has proudly hosted Art in the Village, transforming the heart of Carlsbad Village into a vibrant open-air gallery. On Sunday, June 28, 2026, the tradition continues with an exciting new expanded format featuring more fine artists than ever before. Application deadline for artists is this Friday, February 27.

This year’s event will showcase an increased number of carefully curated fine artists, offering attendees an even broader and more dynamic range of original artwork. From painting, sculpture, and photography to ceramics, glass, jewelry, fiber, wood, metal, mixed media, digital art, resin, and printmaking, Art in the Village celebrates the depth and diversity of today’s fine art landscape.

From 10AM to 6PM, four downtown blocks along State Street and Grand Avenue will come alive with creativity. Guests can browse artist booths, enjoy live music, watch interactive demonstrations, and experience performance art, all set against the charming coastal backdrop of shops, cafés, and restaurants that make the Village such a beloved destination.

The 2025 event welcomed more than 145 local and regional artists and musicians and drew thousands of residents and visitors for a festive day of art and community. In 2026, with an expanded footprint and increased artist participation, the event promises an even more engaging and inspiring experience for both artists and attendees.

Art in the Village is free to attend and held rain or shine. Participating artists must be fully set up by 10AM and remain open for the duration of the show. Applications require four digital images of artwork, one current booth display photo, and submission of the jury fee. The deadline to apply is February 27, 2026.
With more visibility, more artists, and more opportunity than ever before, the 28th Annual Art in the Village is not to be missed.
