Village Voices returns next Tuesday, May 12 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM with a special session focused on helping you feel confident on camera and connect more effectively with your audience.
Join us at the Dea Hurston New Village Arts Center for a morning designed to bring the Carlsbad Village community together. Business owners, professionals, and residents are all invited to connect, stay informed, and gain practical insights you can put into action.
The morning begins with networking from 8:00 to 8:30 AM, featuring breakfast bites provided by First Team Real Estate and coffee from Revolution Roasters. It is a welcoming way to ease into the day, connect with others in the Village, and build new relationships.
Following networking, CVA will share brief community updates before transitioning into this month’s featured program with Ashley Jacobs and Heather Myers.
With years of experience in front of the camera and behind the scenes, Ashley and Heather bring valuable insight into what it takes to show up with confidence. Ashley is known for her work with Fox 5 San Diego and The Localist, where she showcases the best of our local community. Heather, formerly of CBS 8, is a nine-time Emmy Award-winning journalist with a strong background in broadcast storytelling.
Together, they will share practical strategies to help you feel more comfortable on camera, whether you are preparing for an interview, creating content for your business, or building your presence online. You will learn how to communicate your message clearly, create engaging content, and use storytelling to connect with your audience in a meaningful way.
Village Voices is a bi-monthly gathering that keeps the community connected and informed while highlighting topics that support local businesses and the people behind them.
Start your morning with us and leave with fresh perspective, new connections, and tools you can use right away.
