Halloween in the Village: A Spooktacular Day of Tricks, Treats, and Family Fun

Fall is officially here, the air is crisp, pumpkin spice is everywhere, and that can only mean one thing: it is time to celebrate Halloween in the Village. On Saturday, October 25, 2025, Carlsbad Village will come alive with festive activities, creative costumes, and plenty of candy. Whether you are a trick-or-treater, a costume enthusiast, or someone who simply loves the spirit of the season, this is a day you will not want to miss.

The fun begins at 2:00 pm at the Carlsbad Village Association (2697 State Street). Children can stop by to decorate their own Halloween-themed canvas trick-or-treat bag, complimentary for the first 200 costumed kids. Once their bags are ready, families can head out to enjoy safe, business-to-business trick-or-treating throughout the Village. Participating businesses will display a candy corn icon in their windows, and a trick-or-treating map will be available soon to help plan your candy-collecting adventure.

The celebration continues at the Boys and Girls Club of Carlsbad Village (3115 Roosevelt St.) from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, where families can enjoy carnival games, a bounce house, and festive treats, all free of charge.

Next, visit the Village Faire Shopping Center (300 Carlsbad Village Dr.) for more trick-or-treating, live music, and the highly anticipated costume contest, which begins at 4:00 pm. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative and spookiest costumes in multiple age groups, including toddlers, kids, teens, and families.

For those who prefer a quieter experience, Handled Pottery (390 Oak Ave, Suite c) will host a Sensory and Allergy-Friendly Calm Zone from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Children can participate in hands-on Halloween crafts, pose for photos in a festive photo booth, and enjoy inclusive treats in a comfortable setting.

With decorated trick-or-treat bags, candy stops throughout the Village, carnival games, costume contests, and more, Halloween in the Village promises a full day of fall fun for the whole family.
