Hearts of Carlsbad Village Kicks Off February 7–14 with New Ways to Connect

Hearts of Carlsbad Village kicks off February 7 and runs through February 14, offering a full week of experiences in an "all-new" format designed to bring people together in downtown Carlsbad. A total of 600 hearts will find new homes this year over a one-week period in a more relaxed and thoughtful way than before. With unique opportunities to explore the Village, support local businesses, and share kindness, the event highlights what makes the community feel special.

Explore the Village and Find a Glass Heart

Throughout the week, during normal business hours, 250 handcrafted blown glass hearts (35 per day) made by Barrio Glassworks will be "hidden in plain sight" around Carlsbad Village. From February 7–13, visitors can enjoy the Village’s shops, restaurants, and scenic streets while keeping an eye out for these hidden treasures. Each heart is a small reminder to slow down, explore, and appreciate the local community.

Free Scavenger Hunt Sign-Up Opens Next Week

The celebration continues on Valentine’s Day with a free scavenger hunt designed to guide dedicated participants through the Village in a fun and interactive way. Each scavenger hunt lasts about 90 minutes and will include touring the Village, searching for clues, solving riddles, and posting on social media too. Registration opens next week — keep an eye on the Carlsbad Village Association website and social media for the sign-up link. There will be 250 scavenger hunt cards available. Each correct scavenger hunt card can be redeemed for a handcrafted glass heart. Rules and sign-up regulations will apply.

Heart of the Village Blood Drive Is Fully Booked

Also on Valentine’s Day, the Heart of the Village Blood Drive will be held at Barrio Glassworks. Community response has been overwhelming, and the blood drive is now fully booked. The Carlsbad Village Association extends sincere thanks to everyone who registered. Your participation helps support local hospitals and patients in need and truly embodies the spirit of giving.

Random Acts of Kindness Giveaway at the Farmers Market

On Wednesday, February 11, the CVA team will be at the Carlsbad Village Farmers Market for a Random Acts of Kindness giveaway. While strolling the market, shoppers may be surprised with a heart from the CVA team as a small token of appreciation. This initiative is a way to celebrate everyday kindness and recognize those who support the Village by shopping local and engaging with the community.
