Joe Vickers Named 2026 Art in the Village Artist Ambassador

The Carlsbad Village Association is thrilled to announce Joe Vickers as the 2026 Artist Ambassador for the 28th Annual Art in the Village on Sunday, June 28.

Joe’s vibrant, surf-inspired artwork has become synonymous with the Southern California lifestyle. Blending colorful coastal scenes, local landmarks, ocean wildlife, and unexpected whimsical details, his work captures the energy, creativity, and carefree spirit that make life by the beach so special. Whether you’re a longtime collector or seeing his art for the first time, Joe’s pieces have a way of sparking joy and inviting a second look.

This year also marks an exciting milestone for Joe with the recent opening of Surf Art Spot at 575 Grand Avenue in downtown Carlsbad Village. The gallery showcases his original artwork, prints, apparel, books, and handcrafted creations, giving visitors a chance to experience his signature style right in the heart of the community that inspires it.

As Artist Ambassador, Joe’s artwork will help represent this year’s Art in the Village, one of Carlsbad Village’s most anticipated annual events. The free outdoor art show brings together talented artists from across the region for a day filled with creativity, discovery, and community connection.
