The Carlsbad Village Association recently presented Kona Craft Café with its Best Brunch Bite plaque, recognizing the restaurant’s winning dishes from the sold-out 2026 Taste of Carlsbad Village Brunch Edition.

Kona Craft Café earned the honor for its standout Kalua Pork Moco and House Cured Salmon Blini, which received the most votes from attendees during the event. More than half of all guests participated in the Best Brunch Bite voting, helping determine this year’s winner.

Owner Aaron Williams and Chef Brad Thomas proudly accepted the plaque on behalf of the Kona Craft Café team, celebrating a well-deserved recognition of their culinary creativity and hospitality.

The competition was exceptionally close, with Cbar’s Short Rib Hash and Wildland’s Smoked Salmon Tartine with farmer’s cheese, caper, pickled onion, and dill served on a baguette finishing just a few votes behind Kona Craft Café.

Congratulations to Kona Craft Café on this well-earned recognition, and thank you to all of the participating restaurants that helped make the Taste of Carlsbad Village Brunch Edition a memorable celebration of Carlsbad Village’s vibrant dining scene.
