Local Creative Podcast Series Continues at Hammy’s with DeAnn Dillard on May 18

After a successful kickoff event featuring local muralist and art teacher Bryan Snyder, the Making It Live podcast series is returning to Carlsbad Village on Monday, May 18 for another evening of inspiring conversation, creativity, and community connection.
Hosted by local artist Taylor Gallegos, the live series gives audience members the chance to experience a podcast recording in person while hearing honest conversations from local creatives, entrepreneurs, and community leaders about the realities of building a life around their passion.
The May 18 event will feature DeAnn Dillard, local real estate professional and publisher of Carlsbad Neighbors Magazine. Through her work in both real estate and community storytelling, DeAnn has become a familiar face in the local community, helping spotlight the people, businesses, and stories that make Carlsbad unique. Her live conversation will explore entrepreneurship, community connection, and the evolving journey of building a meaningful career rooted in relationships and creativity.
Hosted at Hammy’s (formerly Witch Creek Winery), the series is designed to feel approachable and interactive, with food available from local vendors, beverages for purchase, and a relaxed atmosphere that encourages conversation and connection.
The Making It Podcast has produced more than 115 episodes over the past five years and can be found on YouTube and major podcast streaming platforms. This live format brings those conversations into a shared community setting, giving attendees the opportunity to hear firsthand stories about creativity, business, risk-taking, and personal growth from people making an impact right here in Carlsbad.
All events take place from 6:00 - 9:00 PM, with doors opening at 6:00 PM.
