Longer Evenings at the Farmers Market: Summer Hours Are Here

With the time change this past weekend, the State Street Farmers Market has officially shifted into its summer schedule, giving shoppers an extra hour to enjoy one of Carlsbad Village’s favorite weekly traditions. The market is now open every Wednesday from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm, offering more time to soak up the sunshine, stroll the stands, and pick up all your favorite market day finds.

Spring produce is beginning to shine across Southern California, and March brings a delicious mix of seasonal favorites. Look for blueberries, asparagus, strawberries, citrus, avocados, carrots, radishes, leafy greens, and spring onions fresh from local farms. The market is designed to feel like an open-air grocery store, focused on certified growers offering fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, cheese, eggs, nuts, honey, and even fresh flowers and plants.

Beyond the farm stands, shoppers will also find a strong lineup of artisan packaged food vendors offering items like fresh bread, granola, yogurt, bone broth, kombucha, artisan cookies, and other handcrafted treats. And if you arrive hungry, the market’s hot food vendors have plenty of delicious options perfect for a midweek dinner or snack while you shop.

The State Street Farmers Market is proud to support local agriculture while providing Carlsbad with fresh, high-quality foods and unique products not easily found in traditional grocery stores. With the extended evening hours, there is even more time to stroll and shop. See you every Wednesday from 2:30PM - 7PM!
