Make a Difference This Saturday at the Heart of the Village Blood Drive

This Saturday, September 26, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, the Heart of the Village Blood Drive returns to Carlsbad Village, and there are still appointments available for community members who would like to give blood and help save lives.

The Carlsbad Village Association is proud to partner with the San Diego Blood Bank for this important event at Barrio Glassworks, 3060 Roosevelt Street. Throughout our region, patients depend on donated blood every day for emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatments and other critical medical needs. Having that blood available when it is needed begins with individuals in our own communities choosing to donate.

That is why we are asking for your help this Saturday. If you are eligible to give blood, consider setting aside a little time to join us. Each appointment filled strengthens our local blood supply and helps ensure it is there for a patient, a family member, a friend or a neighbor when they need it most.

As an added thank-you, those who present to donate with the San Diego Blood Bank during September will receive a SeaWorld San Diego Howl-O-Scream ticket, while supplies last.

There are still appointments available, and appointments are highly encouraged. We would love to see our community come together and fill the remaining spots for this important day of giving.

It does not take long to give blood, but the difference your donation can make can last far beyond Saturday. Join us in Carlsbad Village and help make an impact for patients throughout our region.
