Make a Difference This Weekend at the Shop with a Cop Pancake Breakfast

This Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the Carlsbad Police Department and Richness of Giving (ROG) invite the community to Magee Park (258 Beech Avenue, Carlsbad) for one of the most meaningful events of the year: the Shop with a Cop Pancake Breakfast.

This special fundraiser helps bring holiday joy to local children who might otherwise go without. Every dollar raised goes directly toward creating a magical experience for kids across San Diego County, giving them a day filled with fun, friendship, and the chance to shop for gifts during the holiday season.

A delicious breakfast prepared by Señor Grubby’s, Mas Fina Cantina, and The Daily News Café will be served, along with coffee from Baba Coffee and sweet treats from Handel’s Ice Cream. Guests can also enjoy:

• Exciting raffle prizes and a silent auction
• A K-9 demonstration
• SWAT BearCat, CBPD Beach Polaris, and a vintage police car on display
• Free helmets and fittings for kids by Scripps Hospital Trauma Prevention Team
• Games and giveaways with Frontwave Arena and Boys and Girls Club
• Presentation of the Colors by the Army Navy Academy cadets
• Music and more family fun

Tickets are $10 in advance and include pancakes, eggs, sausage or bacon, fruit, coffee, and juice. Opportunity drawing tickets are $5 each or $20 for five.

So far, the fundraiser has collected $845 toward its $10,000 goal. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings them one step closer to ensuring that more children wake up to a brighter holiday season. By attending the breakfast, purchasing raffle tickets, or making a donation, you are helping provide a day of unforgettable memories and holiday joy for kids who need it most.
