More Than 2.5 Tons Strong: A Community Effort in Carlsbad Village

Category: What's New

There is something special about a Saturday morning in Carlsbad Village when the community comes together with a shared purpose.

At our most recent clean-up, volunteers collected an incredible 374.48 pounds of trash, leaving the Village looking refreshed, cared for, and ready for the week ahead. From longtime supporters to first-time participants, it was a morning that reflected the pride people have in this place we all call home.

We were grateful to see so many of our CVA members, cadets from Army and Navy Academy, dedicated regular volunteers, and new faces working side by side. It is this kind of turnout that continues to build momentum and strengthen the sense of community in the Village.

With this latest effort, we have now removed 5,070.47 pounds of trash since launching the program. That is more than 2.5 tons kept off our streets, sidewalks, and shared spaces. It is a powerful reminder that small, consistent actions truly add up.

These clean-ups would not be possible without the support of our community partners. Thank you to Handel’s Ice Cream, Pure Project Carlsbad, and Baba Coffee for continuing to show up for the Village and for our volunteers.

Our next community clean-up is set for August 15, and we are already looking forward to coming together again to continue the work.

Until then, thank you to everyone who has shown up, pitched in, and taken pride in keeping Carlsbad Village clean, welcoming, and vibrant.
