Need Business Guidance? Meet with the City’s Small Business Liaison

Need help navigating permits, business licenses, zoning, or other city requirements? The Carlsbad Village Association is partnering with the City of Carlsbad and the Carlsbad City Library to bring in-person office hours to the Village, making it easy for local business owners and entrepreneurs to connect directly with the City’s Small Business Liaison.

The next session will take place on Wednesday, August 5, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carlsbad Village Association office, 2695 State Street.

Whether you’re starting a new business, expanding your operations, relocating, or simply have questions about city requirements, the City’s Small Business Liaison is available to provide personalized guidance and connect you with the right resources.

During your appointment, you can receive assistance with:

● Business and external license questions

● Permitting requirements

● Zoning and land use questions

● Home-based versus commercial business operations

● Signage regulations

● Code compliance inquiries

● Grants, incentives, and business resources

● Referrals to city departments and external partners

● Referrals to industry networks and associations

● General business support and navigation

Appointments are required. Please reserve your complimentary 30-minute appointment in advance and complete the brief intake survey so the City’s Small Business Liaison can make the most of your time and address your specific business needs.

Business Support Office Hours are held at the Carlsbad Village Association on the first Wednesday of every month from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The City also offers weekly office hours every Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carlsbad City Library, located at 1775 Dove Lane.
