It’s officially October, which means the countdown to Halloween in the Village is on!
On Saturday, October 31, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Carlsbad Village will be filled with costumes, candy, games and Halloween fun for the whole family. This year’s celebration stretches throughout the Village, giving families plenty of reasons to wander, explore and discover something festive around every corner.
A great place to start is CalRes Homes, located at 2691 State Street, where the first 250 kiddos can pick up a complimentary colorful pumpkin candy bucket, sponsored by CalRes Homes, while supplies last. Then it’s time to put those buckets to good use!
Participating businesses throughout Carlsbad Village will become official Candy Stops, welcoming costumed trick-or-treaters throughout the day. Look for the special Candy Corn icon displayed in participating business windows to find your next stop. Safe trick-or-treating throughout the Village is generously sponsored by Phoenix Sports and Le Papagayo Carlsbad.
There is plenty more brewing beyond the candy. Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad, located at 3115 Roosevelt Street, will host indoor and outdoor carnival games, a bounce house, candy corn and popcorn. There is no entry fee, so families can stop by and join the fun throughout the day.
Costumes will take center stage at Village Faire Shopping Center, located at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive. Costume contest sign-ups begin at 11:30 AM, with the contest taking place from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Four winners will be selected across different age groups and a family or group category, with each winner receiving a basket filled with goodies and gift cards. Whether you’re planning something spooky, silly or seriously creative, now is the time to start putting those costumes together.
Halloween in the Village is also designed to make the celebration welcoming for more families. Lily Field Realty, located at 2965 Roosevelt Street, will offer allergy-friendly treats and sensory-friendly activities for children who may prefer a quieter or more accommodating Halloween experience.
