Mark your calendars! St. Michael’s Jazz Fest returns Saturday, September 26, 2026, bringing another day of live jazz, community and celebration to the heart of Carlsbad Village. Now in its third year, the festival takes place at St. Michael’s by-the-Sea, located at 2775 Carlsbad Boulevard.
Created around a mission of “Creating Community Through Music,” St. Michael’s Jazz Fest celebrates jazz while bringing together musicians and audiences of all ages. The free community event highlights New Orleans musical traditions alongside talent from throughout the San Diego region, with opportunities for military bands, school ensembles and music education organizations to take part.
This year’s announced performers include Monette Marino Keita, Euphoria Brass Band, The Matt Neu Jazz Trio featuring Teryn Ré, Mercedes Moore Swing and more. In addition to performances, guests can look forward to educational opportunities and family-friendly activities throughout the festival.
Best of all, St. Michael’s Jazz Fest is free and no ticket is required. Performances take place outdoors on the lawn, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn or camping chairs. Located just one block from the Carlsbad Village Train Station, the festival is also easily accessible by walking, biking or train.
