St. Michael’s Jazz Fest Brings the Beat to Carlsbad Village This Saturday

Carlsbad Village will be filled with live music this Saturday, September 27, as the 2nd Annual St. Michael’s Jazz Fest takes place on the lawn at St. Michael’s by-the-Sea. From 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM, audiences can enjoy an all-day celebration of jazz featuring world-class talent, local favorites, and a welcoming community atmosphere.

Headlining the festival is the Grammy Award-winning Rebirth Brass Band from New Orleans. They will be joined by an impressive lineup including Euphoria Brass Band, the Gilbert Castellanos Latin Jazz Ensemble, Starsign, Chunky Hustle Brass Band, Sue Palmer Swing Orchestra, and more. The music will keep playing throughout the day, offering something for every jazz enthusiast.

Admission to the festival is free, with suggested donations encouraged to help support this community tradition. A $40 contribution comes with an exclusive festival t-shirt and 10 raffle tickets as a thank you to supporters.

Food and beverages will be available throughout the day, featuring local favorites such as Grilled Cheese King, S Loco Taco, and Mr. Brown Bean. Pizza Port Carlsbad will also be on site, serving their signature brews along with a special release, Rebirth IPA, created exclusively for the festival. Outside food and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome as well.

The Carlsbad Village Association is proud to be one of the sponsors of this year’s Jazz Fest. Families are encouraged to attend, as the festival is free, all ages are welcome, and kids will have plenty of room to enjoy the outdoor setting. With unforgettable performances, delicious food, and a strong sense of community, the event promises to be a highlight of the season.
