Adventure Awaits: Moana 2 Kicks Off Flicks at the Fountain This Thursday

Carlsbad Village’s favorite summer tradition is back. Starting Thursday, July 10, Flicks at the Fountain transforms the corner of State and Grand into a lively outdoor movie spot for five straight weeks of free, family-friendly films.

This year’s series opens with a splash! Disney’s Moana 2 hits the screen on Thursday, July 10, inviting moviegoers on another bold voyage across the sea with one of Disney’s most adventurous heroines. The sequel picks up where the original left off, with new lands to discover, new music to fall in love with, and all the heart and humor audiences expect from a Disney favorite.

Seating begins at 6:00 PM, and the movie starts at dusk, around 8:00 PM. Bring low-back chairs and blankets, and arrive early to pick your spot because space fills up quickly.

Dinner and a Movie, Without Leaving Your Seat

Making the evening even easier (and tastier), Knockout Pizza will be on-site this Thursday night, taking orders and delivering hot pizza right to your seat. It’s a new addition this year, and one that’s bound to become a crowd favorite. Just place your order and let Knockout do the rest!

Opening night is proudly sponsored by two standout Village businesses: Beach City Smoothies and Pure Project Carlsbad.

Beach City Smoothies, a Carlsbad favorite since 2006, serves up handcrafted smoothies, organic juices, and fresh acai bowls using real, vine-ripened fruit. Located just steps from the fountain, they’ve become a go-to for locals who want something quick, healthy, and full of flavor.
