Start Planning Your Halloween Adventure in Carlsbad Village

Halloween plans are officially taking shape in Carlsbad Village! On Saturday, October 31, from 11 AM to 4 PM, families are invited to spend Halloween right here in the Village, with trick-or-treating, costumes, games and plenty of festive stops to discover along the way.

This year’s celebration is designed to get families out and exploring. Rather than heading to just one location, Halloween in the Village brings the fun throughout downtown, with local businesses and community partners each adding something special to the day.

A great place to begin your Halloween adventure is CalRes Homes, located at 2691 State Street. The first 250 kiddos can pick up a complimentary colorful pumpkin candy bucket, sponsored by CalRes Homes, while supplies last. From there, it’s time to start filling it!

Participating businesses throughout Carlsbad Village will serve as official Candy Stops, welcoming costumed trick-or-treaters throughout the day. Simply look for the Candy Corn icon displayed in business windows to find participating locations. Safe trick-or-treating throughout the Village is sponsored by Phoenix Sports.

There is much more than candy waiting around the Village. Stop by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad at 3115 Roosevelt Street for indoor and outdoor carnival games, a bounce house, candy corn and popcorn, all with no entry fee.

Of course, no Halloween celebration would be complete without some incredible costumes. Village Faire Shopping Center, located at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, will host this year’s costume contest, with sign-ups beginning at 11:30 AM and the contest running from 12 PM to 1 PM. Four winners will be selected across age and family or group categories, with each taking home a basket filled with goodies and gift cards.

Families looking for a more sensory-friendly Halloween experience can also visit Lily Field Realty at 2965 Roosevelt Street, where allergy-friendly treats and sensory-friendly activities will be available.
