State Street Farmers Market Is #4 in California. Let’s Keep Climbing!

We’re getting closer, Carlsbad! The State Street Farmers Market is now ranked #4 in California in American Farmland Trust’s America’s Farmers Market Celebration. That means just one more spot stands between our market and a place in California’s Top Three.

And we know this community can help us get there.

Every Wednesday, you show us just how much the State Street Farmers Market means to Carlsbad. You shop from our farmers and food makers, fill State Street week after week, bring your friends and family, and continue supporting a market that has been part of the Village for more than 30 years. Now, we have another way to put that support behind our market.

America’s Farmers Market Celebration invites communities across the country to vote for the farmers markets they love most. A Top Three finish in California would bring well-deserved recognition to the State Street Farmers Market and, most importantly, to the farmers, food makers and shoppers who make it what it is.

It could also bring valuable resources back to the market. Winning markets have the opportunity to receive monetary awards, and any funds awarded to the State Street Farmers Market would be reinvested directly into the market to support its continued growth and success.
