Flicks at the Fountain Returns for Five Nights of Summer Movie Magic

Get your blankets and low-back chairs ready. The Carlsbad Village Association is excited to announce the movie lineup for the 2026 Flicks at the Fountain series.

Returning every Thursday from July 9 through August 6, Flicks at the Fountain brings free outdoor movies to the heart of Carlsbad Village, creating a fun and welcoming place for families, friends, and neighbors to gather on summer evenings. From beloved animated classics to exciting new releases, this year’s lineup offers something for every age.

The free movie series takes place in the Fountain Parking Lot at the corner of State Street and Grand Avenue. Seating opens at 6:00 PM, and movies begin at dusk, typically around 8:00 PM. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, enjoy dinner, dessert, or shopping throughout the Village, and then settle in for a memorable evening under the stars. There are so many options for amazing "to-go" meals from our downtown restaurants, so maybe a fun picnic while you wait for the movie magic is in order!

For many local families, Flicks at the Fountain has become a cherished summer tradition and one of the many ways our community comes together in Carlsbad Village. Whether you’re revisiting a favorite film, introducing a classic to a new generation, or enjoying one of this year’s newest releases, we look forward to seeing you this summer.
