Sweet Beginnings: Chocolate Bar Celebrates Grand Opening in the Village

Carlsbad Village has a new spot to satisfy your sweet tooth - and much more. CVA Village Partner member, Chocolate Bar, officially opened its doors on Tuesday, June 17, and it’s already making itself right at home on State Street.

The name might sound familiar, but this is an entirely different concept with a different owner, a fresh vision, and a commitment to high-quality, feel-good food. Everything on the menu is organic, gluten-free, and seed oil–free, from the decadent truffles and drinking chocolates to the coffee, wine, and savory bites.

Chocolate Bar offers much more than dessert. There’s small-batch espresso made with house-made syrups like vanilla bean and dark chocolate sea salt, almond milk made in-house, a weekend brunch menu with bottomless mimosas from 9 to noon, and a rotating selection of craft beer and boutique wine.

Whether you’re stopping by for your morning coffee, a mid-day panini, or a glass of wine and charcuterie board, there’s something here for every part of the day. They’re open 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily, and stay open until 10:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, making it a great spot for both early risers and evening strollers.

As a new Carlsbad Village Association Village Partner Member, Chocolate Bar is more than just a business, it’s a welcome addition to the community.
