Give Blood, Save Lives, and Get Your Howl-O-Scream Treats: Only 11 Appointments Left

The Heart of the Village Blood Drive returns on Saturday, September 27, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM at Barrio Glassworks (3060 Roosevelt Street), and donors are still needed. With only 11 appointments left, this is the moment to step forward and help fill every spot.

Every two seconds, someone in the United States requires blood. Accident victims, patients undergoing surgery, and those fighting cancer or chronic illnesses all depend on a steady blood supply. In less than an hour, your donation can help save up to three lives.

If you are not ready to commit in advance, there will be limited walk-in availability on the day of the drive. However, making an appointment is the best way to ensure your spot and guarantee your contribution.

Donors will also receive special thank-you gifts: a ticket to SeaWorld’s Howl-O-Scream, courtesy of the San Diego Blood Bank, and a free cone card from Handel’s Ice Cream in Carlsbad Village.
