This Saturday: Give Back, Get Involved & Help Keep Carlsbad Village Beautiful

The Carlsbad Village Association's August Carlsbad Village Community Clean-Up is happening this Saturday, August 15, and we’re looking forward to bringing neighbors, families, local businesses, and volunteers together for another morning of caring for our Village.

Hosted by the Carlsbad Village Association, the clean-up will take place from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, beginning outside Pure Project Carlsbad Village at 2825 State Street. We’ll have gloves, buckets, and litter pickers ready to go, so all you need to do is show up and choose an area of the Village to tackle. Stay for the full two hours or participate for as long as your morning allows.

These clean-ups have become one of our favorite ways to see the community come together. At our April event, volunteers collected an incredible 374.48 pounds of litter, and since the program began, more than 5,000 pounds of litter have been removed from throughout Carlsbad Village. Every bag collected and every volunteer who participates adds to that impact, helping keep our downtown clean and welcoming for everyone who enjoys it.

To add a little extra fun to Saturday’s event, clean-up volunteers will also have the opportunity to enter a special giveaway. Two lucky winners will each receive a prize bundle featuring a $25 Knockout Pizza gift card, a Carlsbad Village tote bag and hat, plus an additional Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream free cone card. It’s a fun way for us to say thank you to the community members who spend their Saturday morning giving back to the Village. No purchase necessary. 

And the thank-yous don’t stop there. Volunteers who collect at least two pounds of litter can receive $1 off a pint at Pure Project, a free single scoop card from Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream, and a complimentary coffee from Baba Coffee on the day of the event.
