Village Voices returns on Tuesday, July 14, bringing Carlsbad Village businesses together for a morning of networking, conversation, and valuable community updates.
Networking begins at 8:00 AM, followed by the program from 8:45–9:30 AM.
This month’s featured speaker is Sergeant Brian Johnson, supervisor of the Carlsbad Police Department’s newly established Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving (COPPS) Team. He will be joined by the officers assigned to serve the Carlsbad Village area for an introduction to this proactive community policing initiative.
During the presentation, attendees will learn about the COPPS Team’s mission, district-based approach, and commitment to working alongside businesses, residents, and community partners to address quality-of-life concerns through collaboration, education, and long-term problem-solving. Rather than simply responding to calls for service, the team focuses on building relationships, identifying recurring issues, and developing lasting solutions that help keep Carlsbad safe, welcoming, and vibrant.
This is also a great opportunity for Village business owners, managers, and employees to meet the officers assigned to our area, learn about available resources, ask questions, and share ideas or concerns related to the Village.
Hospitality is generously provided by First Team Real Estate, featuring breakfast goodies from Barons Market, coffee donated by Revolution Roasters, and breakfast quesadillas from Señor Grubby’s while supplies last.
We hope you’ll join us for an informative morning and the opportunity to connect with fellow Village businesses and the officers dedicated to serving our community.
