Village Voices Returns September 8 With Local Innovation, Village Updates & More

Mark your calendar for the next Village Voices on Tuesday, September 8, and join us for a morning of connection, conversation, and timely updates from around Carlsbad.

Held at the Dea Hurston New Village Arts Center (2787 State Street), Village Voices begins with complimentary coffee (provided by Revolution Roasters) and breakfast goodies (courtesy of First Team Real Estate), and networking from 8:00 to 8:45 AM, followed by the program from 8:45 to 9:30 AM. Whether you are a local business owner, resident, or simply interested in what is happening in and around the Village, everyone is welcome.

This month, we are excited to hear from Aptera Motors, a Carlsbad-based company working at the forefront of solar mobility and ultra-efficient transportation. Headquartered right here in Carlsbad, Aptera is developing a solar electric vehicle that combines integrated solar technology with an aerodynamic design created to dramatically reduce the energy needed for everyday driving. Its vehicle is designed with integrated solar cells that can provide up to 40 miles of solar-powered driving per day, depending on conditions.

We’ll also introduce and hear from several new CVA members, giving attendees an opportunity to get to know some of the newest businesses and organizations in our Village community.

Our Member Business Spotlight will feature Carlsbad Village Music, a longtime local destination for musicians and music lovers, along with a fantastic door prize giveaway.

Attendees will also hear from CVA’s Executive Director, Christine Davis, about the latest on two important local development projects, 840 Carlsbad Village Drive and Carlsbad Village Square, including updates on what is happening and what to expect moving forward.

With the holiday season approaching, we’ll also share information about sponsorship opportunities for CVA’s holiday programming. It’s a great opportunity for local businesses to learn more about getting involved and connecting with the community during one of the busiest times of the year.
