Thirty-four stores from North State to South State and over to Carlsbad Boulevard are all participating in this year's holiday window decorating contest and they need your vote! They are all listed below. And yes, there is still time to vote for the window display that puts the spirit of the holiday in your heart. The Carlsbad Village Association has invited all businesses in the Village to turn its downtown into a Winter Wonderland this holiday by entering the Carlsbad Village Window Decorating Contest as a fun way to celebrate the holiday season, create a festive and beautiful downtown, attract visitors to the Village, and showcase their businesses.
Voting takes place November 25th through December 25th. One prize will be awarded to the business who receives the most votes via an Instagram/Facebook social media voting campaign or via email vote. Snowflakes, prominently displayed in each participant's window or at their checkout counter contains simple voting instructions on how to take a selfie in front of your favorite window or a photo of it and post using hashtag #carlsbadvillagewindows. You can also email a photo of your favorite to info@carlsbad-village.com. A second prize will be voted on by a committee who will visit each participating location who, by consensus, which choose their favorite.
Top prize is a $780 advertisement in the March/April edition of Carlsbad Magazine. In 2015, 1752 votes were cast as part of the People's Choice Award and the contest brought our village wonderful attention by locals and visitors alike!
