Our final Carlsbad Village Clean-Up of the year was a strong and inspiring finish. On November 8, our community came together to collect 421.18 pounds of trash from sidewalks, curbs, and open spaces throughout the Village.
Thanks to everyone who has taken part in this growing effort, we have now removed 4,554.09 pounds of trash since the clean-ups began. We surpassed our 4,500-pound milestone, and this year alone, our Village community cleared 1,771.11 pounds from shared public spaces. This is real, visible impact created by neighbors who care about the place we live.
We also want to thank our local partners who help keep this effort energized and community-focused. Handel’s Ice Cream, Baba Coffee, and Pure Project Carlsbad provided volunteer rewards all year long, adding a welcoming and celebratory spirit to each clean-up. And thank you to Republic Services for supporting the Trash Champion Contest and elevating the excitement around each collection day.
We will be contacting the Trash Champion Contest winners by December 1. Thank you to everyone who participated throughout the year. Your consistency and enthusiasm helped make the program meaningful and fun.
Our 2026 clean-up calendar will be announced in the new year, so stay tuned for dates. The first clean-up of the new year will take place in January 2026, and we are looking forward to building on this momentum together.
Thank you for a meaningful, impactful year. Here’s to a clean, bright, and community-strong 2026.
